About Pak Navy:

Pakistan’s navy is the Pakistan Armed Forces’ branch responsible for naval warfare. A parliamentary act established the independence of Pakistan and India from the United Kingdom on 14 August 1947 led to the transfer of personnel and equipment from the Royal Indian Navy, which ceased to exist following the partition of British India.

Among its primary objectives is, as described, ensuring the defense of Pakistan’s sea lines of communication and safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime interests through the implementation of national policies through the application of military force, diplomacy, and humanitarian activities. In addition to providing wartime assistance, the Navy has utilized its war assets to conduct humanitarian operations at home as well as to participate in United Nations-based multinational task forces designed to prevent seaborne terrorism and protect privacy.

Volunteers in the Pakistan Navy have fought by sea against India twice, and have served as a military advisor to Gulf Arab states and other friendly nations during international conflicts as part of its commitment to UN peacekeeping. Marines, Navy Aviation, and MESA are some of the components of the Navy. Pakistan’s Navy has expanded from securing the coastlines to being able to launch underwater missiles to target enemy positions.

Since its establishment on 14 August 1947, this has been the Navy’s principal defensive role. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Harlan is the Navy’s Chief of Naval Staff. In Pakistan, nominations are made by the Prime Minister, and appointments are made by the President. Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi took command as Pakistan Navy’s 22nd Chief after Zafar Mahmood Abbasi on 7 October 2020. He was just sworn in on that date.
